What is Mac AI Ventures?

Mac AI Ventures — presented by the McMaster AI Society — seeks to bridge technical AI development with entrepreneurship and venture capital. In our inaugural 2020–2021 year, we are offering a pre-incubator program to help support new McMaster-led ventures, host weekly workshops on a range of topics, and provide pro bono valuation services to AI start-ups.

About the Pre-Incubator Program

The Mac AI Ventures pre-incubator program facilitates the development of AI-centric technological projects and ideas into market-ready companies. The goal of this program is to introduce ambitious students to entrepreneurship, business development, and technology production for subsequent application to North American start-up incubators.

Hungry to start a new AI venture? Apply today to build the next great Canadian tech company.

Workshops will be run bi-weekly in the Winter, on the off weeks of Mac AI's main programming, and will cover a broad range of topics from valuating AI start-ups, to tax credits and funding for early ventures, to developing a working prototype. These workshops will be virtual. Fall workshop presentations have been posted below.
